The event is open to all WWFF Hunters and Activators and is sponsored by (KFF), the United States affiliate of World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF).

GYPO 250! celebrates the 250th birthday of the United States of America by having portable Amateur Radio Special Event Stations activate KFF-References that include National Forests, Historic Sites, Scenic Rivers, Wildlife Refuges, and State Parks and State Forests. The goal of GYPO 250! is to make on-the-air QSOs with other “Hams” and offer a Certificate of Achievement to them, while increasing awareness of these locations and the WWFF-KFF program.

Hunters and 1×1 Special Event Station Activators are encouraged to work as many 1×1 SES as possible during the event. Look for updates made to this KFF Website page, the KFF Facebook Group, and to these 1×1 Call QRZ.com pages.
